"Nice place We have been going there for years. Service is personal and quick. Food is good for a diner! They make my dad happy remembering he always gets strawberry jelly when he has breakfast there."
"The Trivet diner is progressively becoming my favorite local place to have a relaxing meal while not spending your entire paycheck. Since their remodel and change of style the Trivet has maintained a high standard of food quality and the waitstaff is more than courteous. I highly recommend the Trivet for couples, families, and any person looking for a good meal."

"Stopped for breakfast. Food and service were good. The men's restroom was spotless. Usually a good indicator of the cleanliness of the kitchen. Very happy with everything. "

"Greek diners are awesome in general, so I'm not surprised that the Trivet is good. It's a solid diner. I recommend the Greek omelet or the cheese-steak omelet."

"Another great diner. They have an extensive menu with many delicious things to choose from. Service is superb and the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with the Trivet."

"I can't believe I haven't written a review of this place yet - I live about two minutes away, and it's a regular standby for breakfast, lunch, dinner...anytime we don't want to cook.
The Trivet was recently redone (several years ago) and has an official diner theme - all shiny steel outside, lunch counter, pie fridge, inside. The diner is nice and clean, and well staffed. Wait times get a bit busy on weekend mornings, but otherwise, you can get a table pretty quick.
The favorite here is breakfast - it's standard diner fare, but it is good. Omelets and home fries are good and what I usually order. Lunch/dinner fare is your typical diner stuff - meatloaf, hot sandwiches, short order stuff (chicken fingers, etc.), all of it well prepared.
Nothing stellar to note here - it's a solid diner entry, and a dependable stop when we don't agree on where to go.
Also of note, this place (like pretty much all PA restaurants these days) is smoke free. The divided smoking/non-smoking layout remains, but the smoke is gone."

"Solid diner. Very nice staff. Went in at midnight on a Sunday after flying in from the West Coast and, of course, had to Yelp for food.
The home fries were amazing. The very nice and helpful waitress (reminded me of a neighborhood granny) told me that they make the home fries to order although that is difficult to do when they get busy.
BTW, I never use superlatives. So, as of the time of this post, they are indeed the best home fries I have eaten in the last 36 years or so.

"We stopped here to meet a friend when we were driving through to Ohio from NY and the location was super easy to find off the highway. That earns at least 1 star right there.
Right away I couldn't help but notice how clean the diner was. It was by far the cleanest diner I have ever been in and I have been to quite a few diners. It looked new!
The menu is huge. Whatever you're in the mood for they have it here and I'm willing to bet money it will hit the spot. The gentlemen I was with had burgers and thought they were pretty awesome and I had a fried chicken sandwich (when in Rome, you know) and it was really good, too. Oh, and the fries - perfect. And nothing was greasy! Yes!
I would definitely stop here if I ever find myself driving through Allentown on an empty belly."

"I recently went to this Trivet later in the evening on a Friday night with some friends. Cool retro diner look to the place, huge parking lot, fast and friendly service, good portions and most importantly very tasty food.
I had a salad and stuffed flounder for my meal and both were delicious. I also had several large glasses of chocolate milk with my dinner. Now this may sound funny and insignificant to you but for me good chocolate milk is one of the hallmarks of a good diner. Maybe it's something left over from my childhood when I would eat out with my parents, usually at diners, and I would always get a glass of chocolate milk. Anyway it was rich and chocolaty and didn't taste like it had just been mixed using powder."
The service we received from our waitress was excellent. She was hometown diner friendly and really took care of us.
There's not much more to say about the Trivet. If you want a really good, authentic diner experience in this area I think the Trivet is going to be hard to beat.

"Casual atmosphere and very friendly staff makes this diner a place for relaxing, chatting and decent food. Yah!! decent food for the price, but their soups are great. One of the best coffee around. Breakfast, and burgers are good."
"What a great diner experience. My friends & I really enjoyed our first visit. Enough that we went back the next day. Terrific breakfast. Friendly staff. Awesome soups. Don't miss the Trivet."
"Trivet is a great diner: big, brightly lit, comfortable and CLEAN. Most important, though, the food is excellent. All of our lunches were hot and exactly as ordered. Great fries and onion rings! Service was good and staff was friendly. I'll go back and try breakfast next time. "
"We enjoyed our dinner at Trivet....we came to enjoy classic diner food and it delivered. Great tuna melt, soup and burger. I was eating modestly to save room for the pie...which was, quite frankly, disappointing...could have been the choice. There were dozens to choose from....I love diners and I would definitely go back to this one! "
"Big, Roomy, Shiney, Clean, Neon, Ample parking. Very inviting! Abundant menu selections. Reasonable prices. Daily specials. Friendly, "on-the-ball" waitresses. Quick service. Big desert case. Ate dinner here about 3-4 times a week for about 4 weeks while my son was in the nearby hospital. Most food items were either a 9out of 10 or a 10 out of 10. I think one may have been an 8 out of 10. If there are any complaints (and they are minor) they would be too many tables in the center on the one side of the diner making things cramped. And the music selection on the satellite radio is more of what the younger employees want than what the older age group eating there would like to be listening too. Overall....... I wish this was closer to home so I can frequent it more!!!"
